Stumbling upon a new artist who pushes all your buttons and seems to speak to you and only you is a pretty special feeling. I think that's what a lot of people are really looking for and how they evaluate art.
I visited the Moniker art Fair last weekend (an alternative to Frieze) and I most definitely wasn't disappointed.
The work of Steve Powers amongst other New York artists really grabbed me. I'm a big fan of textual art which captures you both verbally and visually.
You might thinks it awesome, you might think it's shit but either way you'll have an opinion.
